Theory & Emergence of Self

This monthly forum deepens our thinking about the impact of relationships on functioning. It is an opportunity for long-term students of Bowen Theory to define their personal effort as a self. Each meeting includes two individuals presenting their effort.

Emergence of Self provides a valuable opportunity to present your best thinking on what provokes your personal & professional interest in the presence of other self-contained, theory-based listeners. The assumption is that having the opportunity to gather one's thoughts and to artciulate them to others promotes increased clarity.

By managing self, the audience participates in maintaining a neutral space to ask questions while challenging automatic thinking as well as gain more clarity in their own lives. The orientation of the audience is to their own "emerging self," rather than 'helping' to clarify "for" the presenter.

2019 Schedule:

27 Jan, 28 Feb, 28 Mar, 25 Apr, 30 May, 27 Jun

Noon - 1:30 pm.

Fee $25. Category II CEUs for SW.
